The first few times I used it I the blender worked perfectly, but the pitcher was very wobbly and a green substance was forming on the base. Once I called Kitchen Aid and described the problem, they sent me a new pitcher. This one works without any wobble and no green ick. The only difference I can tell between the two pitchers is that the original has a 4 on the bottom and the replacement has a 3. It seem odd that the wrong pitcher would be packaged with the blender. Now I love my blender and use it 2 to 3 times a day.
Pros: Performance, easy to use
Cons: wrong pieces included

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love KitchenAid and would normally tell everyone how great it is, but I received a blender as a Christmas gift and the pitcher didn't last a month. I had to get it replaced because everything seeped out of the bottom of the pitcher when I'm used it. I was so disappointed. Other than that, it is a powerful blender and I use it everyday for my smoothies. I do love the power of the blender, but just disappointed that a blender that cost that much would have a problem with the pitcher so soon. I give it 4 stars because of the fault in the pitcher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our 2nd kitchen aid blender. The first one we had for over 20 years and we liked that one, so we bought a second. It does a great job chopping ice for frozen drinks, etc. I like that this one has a pour spout (our first one did not) but wish the pitcher was still glass, instead of plastic. Also, I wish the blade assembly came out, like in our old one, for easier cleaning.

Cons: blade assembly sometimes tough to clean, plastic pitcher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a kitchen aid mixer back in the 70's and I have loved it all these years and yes I still have it, so it took a risk and bought this blendar, it works so well I use it all the time, and I would recommend it to everyone, the only problem I have is there are expensive and I would buy more if they were cheaper, cause I don't have a lot of money, so if anyone out there is thinking of buying a kitchen aid, do it, you won't regret it

I have only a small issue of ring of some type of lubricant at the inside of the base of the pitcher apparently coming from around the bearing. Not a real issue in operation, just visible thru the glass. All other features are top of the line. Made in USA is important.
