[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would say that the pitcher shape could be improved by making it narrower at the bottom of the pitcher. I tried to blend a load of softened lentils, and had trouble getting the beans not immediately around the blades to fall into the "vortex". Basically, I had to run the blades for a few seconds, stir the mix and repeat several times, and still most were left intact sitting over a hollow spot around the blades. Everything else has been fine. I especially like the weight of the base versus the pitcher. I have no more worries about the machine tipping over during use!

Cons: the pitcher could be tapered towards the bottom.

I use it for making diet shakes with ice and it does it very well. It also makes shakes with frozen fruit just as easily. We are quite pleased with the machine. It is easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender is very powerful - more than any other blender I have previously owned. It never bogs down or runs hot, no matter how much I cram into it! I use it to make green smoothies and it chops everything up without leaving any chunks at all, including the celery- not leaving any celery strings to have to choke on! If it ever does wear out I will definitely replace it with another Kitchen-Aid that is as much like it as possible.
