[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've just purchased my third blender from Kitchen Aid. I could have gone with another brand after the third one but I really like Kitchen Aid products. The first 1 that I had the motor burned out because I used it so much. The 2nd one, the rubber where the bottom of the pitcher and base meets wore out when I was chopping up some ice in while making a smoothy. Even though that piece is replacable I am not handy when it come to fixing appliances. I was able to get another one for half the cost. I really hope this one last a lot longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Handsome blender with 7 speed/functions. Buttons to activate are sealed, so you don't have to worry about fluids getting into the motor area. Extremely easy to clean because blender is all one piece, sealed, plus cover. My last blender had buttons that fluids could seep around and gum up the works, and indeed, the buttons, over time. became very sticky and sludgy. Though the last one came apart and was easy to clean, there were too many parts to go missing or get damaged. The Kitchen Aid blender is much easier to use and to clean, by comparison. At first I was concerned about getting all the particulate matter out from around the blades, but all you have to do is put a little hot, soapy water in it, cover it and turn it on. It cleans itself. The gear is encased in silicone, so it cuts down on the noise. Though not a quiet machine by any stretch, it is very powerful, with features like 'Chop', 'Pulse Mode' and 'Crush Ice', which my last one did not have. Easy to figure out what option you may need for the task at hand. And like all Kitchen Aid appliances, it's attractive, durable and easy to use.

The frozen fruit and ice cubes are never a challenge with this blender. The push buttons are simple and convenient. I find it easy to move around my counters yet it has rubber feet so it doesn't slide when in use. Cleaning is simply a breeze. I do wish there was more sound reduction. I have to warn everyone in the house when I'm going to put it on the highest setting.
