When I tried to chop veggies I saw that I could only put a small amount in at a time, so, I would need another appliance.

Pitcher leaks but Kitchen-Aid made it right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our blender about 8 years and while the motor/base is still going strong, the polycarbonate pitcher is leaking at the bottom. We had bought this blender after going through a couple of "cheaper" blenders. It's amazing how cheaply made most blenders are. A few months ago, we were disappointed to find it leaking at the bottom. After researching, we found this was not an uncommon problem. The good news is that when I called Kitchen-Aid, they offered to send us a replacement pitcher at no cost! Now that is standing behind their product. Wow! I am very impressed they were willing to replace the pitcher. Too many companies have put profits before customers; yet, Kitchen-Aid recognizes the lifetime relationship they are developing. Good job Kitchen-Aid - my family will continue buying your products.

Just pop off the lid and clean the lid and container - it's so simple. With the various speeds it is an extremely easy blender to use, you can do anything with the blender including crushing ice and making smoothies. I am very pleased with my purchase.
