[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After my last blender melted, I researched blenders. My other one had a glass pitcher, which was very heavy and awkward! I did not want another glass pitcher on my new blender.
My only con would be that there is no smaller container to purchase for this blender, so when making protein shakes/smoothies it wasn't such so difficult in cleaning everything up! We have hard water and I have to hand dry the pitcher with the blade inside...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to replace an very old blender and thought this KitchenAid blender would be a good choice. I make a protein and fresh fruit smoothie every morning and my old blender had difficultly chopping up the ice cubes I add. This blender has a pulsing action which helps to chop up the ice so I get a more consistent chopping of the ice. The only thing I have to watch is that if I let it blend too long it whips up my smoothie into a foamy froath.
Pros: Performance, easy to use
Cons: i still prefer the old style glass container

The pitcher is so easy to use,with room around the blades to clean it,and it is all one piece,no unscrewing the bottom off of it. There is such a variety of choices for speeds,pulsing and ice crushing too.it is built to last and does everything I need it to do and more!
