This blender does a terrific job making the ingredients smooth and creamy, with no ice chips or fruit chunks. I love it! Also, the extra large blender jar makes it handy when you are mixing for a family.

Some blenders are too tall to fit under the kitchen cabinet; this one is just the right size. I hope it stands up to the test of time. I've had a KItchen Aid mixer for 31 years and it's still going strong. So far, my new blender crushes the competition.

This blender has a great capacity for hard work, and the big, open-mouthed pitcher is easy to clean, even though it does not have a removable base. That feature is intended to make a blender easier to clean, but also creates other problems, like leaking, which I have encountered in previous blenders i've had. I can easily get my hand and scraper down in to bring stuff out of this one, though, and it is a joy to give it a lot of frozen chunks to puree and see it go to town.

Cons: a little hard to get stuff loose from around blade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this to make green smoothies twice a day, puree fresh fruits for the freezer, puree wonderful soups and make great emulsified dressings. We could have spent hundereds more for a high end machine, but this is great for us. I have recommeded it to our friends, taken it to work for making smoothies for 24 people and it never says no. Good design, very easy to use. I even have a reconditioned one just for back up and it works like a charm on those days when we put up fruit for the freezer. Buy it, you will not regret it!
