[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kitchen Aid pitcher is larger capacity, yet lightweight so easier to handle when filled with liquids. The larger capacity makes quick work because I can puree ingredients all at once instead of in steps. Cleaning is easier than my previous brand blender because there is no breaking down the unit & then having to reassemble.

It works well for everything that we have done. The kids especially like it for smoothies and because of the design there is no fear of them cutting themselves. Because of that I thought it would be difficult to clean... but add some water and a drop of soap liquefy... and it's nice and clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have gone through many blenders because I do heavy-duty grinding (raw vegetables, nuts, soaked lentils) and not just smoothie-type blending. The KitchenAid blenders are the best because the motor is powerful and lasts longer than other similarly-priced brands (I would have to pay a lot more for more horsepower). I used to be a fan of glass jars, but I like the easy cleanup and light-weight feel of the BPA-free jar.

Clearly cannot withstand daily use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this blender about three years ago and seldom used it. I started making fruit smoothies daily as part of a healthy diet and got great results for about 3 weeks. Until that fateful morning when the mixer revealed a major flaw. Due to daily use, the gears have grated down and no longer line up with each other. In my opinion, a blender should be able to withstand daily use. Huge disappointment from the Kitchen Aid brand as I their stand mixers work well and display the quality associated with the brand. Will be sure to think twice before putting my money on this brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
