[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my old blender needed to be replaced I asked a few friends for recommendations as it had been awhile since I last researched blenders. Overwhelmingly the response was "Buy a KitchenAid and you won't have any regrets." So I did and they were right! I no longer cut up items before I blend them, I can throw ice cubes into the blender and it is a piece of cake to clean. It looks good too and is not too big so I leave it out on my counter, which allows me to use it more frequently. I attribute the use of my blender for the weight I have recently lost as I have been making more smoothies and soups since buying my KitchenAid blender.

However, I am disappointed at the noise level. It is far noisier than anticipated & I wonder if maybe there is something amiss. How could designers overlook something as obvious as noise?
