This is the best phone I've ever had! Super fast, awesome display and even with the large screen it is still easy to carry in my pocket. Great job LG!!!

Great Phone So Far

I've had my LG Optimus G Pro for little over a month and have enjoyed it so far. It has proven to be everything I expected and more. This is my second Android phone so there was very little learning curve.
The screen is extremely clear, even in bright light. The screen is a very large 5.5 inches which I thought I might have a problem with, but it's just the right size.
Calls are clear and volume is right. I always get a great signal and haven't had an issue with dropped calls.
This phone is very fast when using apps. Has plenty of storage built in, plus a SD card slot for more storage space.
I love the DLNA function on the phone as I can stream movies to friends TV's.
The only problem I've had is keeping my bluetooth headset connected. I don't know if it's the phone or the headset. I'm going to try a different headset to see which one is causing the issue.

The Best!

I wanted to use a phablet and was looking around for different options.
Among all, after reviewing specification from available options, I settled on LG E980.
5.5 inch 1080p screen is beautiful! I enjoy watching crisp clear photos and videos (Well, this screen can't beat TV or bigger tablet screen to watch videos, but it's biggest available in the smartphone category, so far).
1.7 GHz Quad Core Processor is blazing fast! Multitasking is pretty smooth.
2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage! That's too much. Take and Keep large number of photos and videos. (taking backup is always recommended, though)
13MP camera. That's WOW!!
4G LTE. Great Data speed. The latest technology is LTE-A, but for most of the daily operations, like listening to music, watching youtube videos, LTE speed is enough. Beware of LTE-A data speed here, you might exhaust all your data cap real quick. If you ask me, I always use WiFi for these tasks.
Design is sleek: This phone easily fits in my pocket and it's light weight compared to it's competitor.
Battery life is great. For my moderate use, it lasts for complete 2 days.
Quick Memo feature is great. You need not have a special stylus to jot down anything on, say, a photo.
Apart from other apps, Polaris Office, Notebook, QuickRemote and SmartShare are 'good to have' apps preloaded on the phone.

So far I have written only good things about this phone. There's one thing I didn't like. If you hold this phone at the bottom, facing back camera, a subtle tap near camera or speaker or a flash produces a vibrating sound as if something is loose. I could not figure out what's that, but I always hear that sound. Just as a curiosity, I checked another phone, and even that produced the same sound. It could be the phone design, but from the users perspective, something is loose inside.
At the end, let me tell you the best part of it. It's price! I got a better product than a competitor for much much less price!!
What else you need? JUST GO FOR IT!!

my 1st smart phone

Im a 50yr old male that never wanted a smart phone, always thought the screens were too small for viewing anything, boy was I wrong. This phone has a large screen for optimum viewing, super easy to use I absolutely love it. Since having it I have many friends & family members that have decided to get the optimus pro g, the wife cant wait till she can upgrade her phone for one.
I love this phone.

Best smartphone I've purched so far

I purchased this phone because of its size, I love the huge 5.5" display and and the HD graphics are amazing.
Some great features include:
Expanded memory using up to a 64gb micro SDcard.
The front and rear facing cameras with the rear camera hosting 13 mp, including numerous settings and functions!
The Android beam, lets you share music, apps and pics by tapping another NFC enabled android phone, which makes socializing and sharing on this phone extremely simple.
The Quick memo feature where you can actually write notes with your finger or smartphone pen.
My favorite feature has to be the TV remote, which works better than the hand held one in my living room!!
Cons:
When using an app or texting, the "$" dollar sign symbol is on a screen with symbols not used regularly and takes extra taps to get to the screen. (I use the $ symbol regularly so its frustrating for me)
Likes to change screens from vertical to horizontal without prompting.....like any smartphone
Not many good choices for ringtones, but an easy fix.
A few more themes and backround choices would have been a bonus, and would have liked at least 4 home screen pages, this phone only has 3.
Battery life could be better when you are using battery draining functions like the camera. An easy fix though, is by purchasing a portable backup charger that you can carry with you when you are away, and no plug in is available.
The cons I have written about are all minimal. All in all, the productivity, sharing, and socializing on this phone are excellent, I love this phone!
