This phone is tailor made for guys and our hand and pocket sizes to be a sturdy, powerful device to fit our body size

good hardware, lacking software

Lost my previous lg phone at work. The new phone has better batery life and a bigger screen, but ive yet to test its durability by droping it 8 feet onto pavement or into a glass of pineapple juice. I figured the operating system would be improved but its inferior to wp7.5 . I constantly get sent to mobile versions of websites and they do not work, never had an issue before. The fownloads are lacking of options and google maps are not very good. This phone would be a winner if it had a superior operating system. Features dont count if the basics are useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The display size and color quality, the speed , tha battery duration, is excellent.
The only thing that i dont like is the updates, because im living outside of the US and AT&T only update de softwate in the US. Not like Verizon or sprint that dosent matter where you are,ncan update your mobile.

Alert: make sure you buy a good case for this phone. Screen will not survive ANY trauma.

It had it flaws such as the battery life and the lack of atat software updates But the featuers ar pretty cool for an phone like the lg e980 i l like it lg needs to come out with another lg e980 with the newest software on it .. i would go and buy that over an iphone anyday thanks alot lg and the lg family enjoy your new or used lg with pride knowing you made a great choice.

No OS upgrade path

No Android upgrade path for individual users.
Current Android software limits use of SDHC card.
Excessive bloatware as shipped.
The large screen made for a bulky phone.
Battery life was limited.
Very limited range of accessories.

Worst Phone I have ever had

I purchase the phone because of the screen size.
Worst mistake I have ever made.
The sound quality is horrible, I need to use my Blueparrott Headset to make or receive calls.
The back button totally exits the application I am on instead of just going back a page.
Video quality through Netflix or Hulu is horrible.
The "gorilla glass" cracked after falling less than a foot while I was getting out of my car.
Basically the worst phone I have ever owned.
I am going back to my Samsung Galaxy S2.
