Love this MFC printer!

I've gone through too many small, 'home office' printer/scanners (all 'name brands'), and was finally fed up with the inconsistency of them. They were slow, I was spending a fortune replacing those small inkjet cartridges, and my last printer/scanner would only scan as jpeg, rather than pdf for documents. I teach Special Education, but about 75% of my job is done at the computer writing reports, specialized academic programs, scheduling meetings, etc. I needed an efficient, cost effective way to accomplish my job, and my Brother MFC -L8600CDW hasn't disappointed me yet! The only problems I've had has been in my somewhat inferior technical skills to use all the feature this offers, but am slowly learning them. It scans and prints rapidly, easily connected to Wi Fi, and after about 3 months, haven't even been low on any of the toner cartridges. I highly recommend this product!

This machine is to replace a back and white Brother laser machine. The main reason I purchased a Brother machine was the excellent tech help we would receive any time we needed it,and the many years of trouble free use. Keep up the good work Brother!!

Awesome All Around

We've been using this unit for over 2 years now at work, it gets multiple faxes daily and is used for printing and photo copying regularly, it works so smoothly and efficiently, and the cartridges last a long time. We started having issues a couple months ago with our unit, chunks of plastic and rubber were coming on the paper as well as a indentation on the paper, we contacted Brother Canada and threw some discussion they replaced our unit entirely free, shipped to our address, not sure if it was recalled or what but the service was awesome!

Easy to operate

This printer scans docs very well and quickly. However whenever I'm printing longer jobs of up to 30 pages it is very slow. This may be to using wifi instead of cabling network from the computers.

Very Dependable

This multi-function printer is very dependable. Rarely jams, which is such a pleasure. Print quality is very good. Toner is so easy to replace and I appreciate the tool feature which indicates the amount of toner left in each cartridge. This is a great printer!

I have always used Brother Printers, this one is no different. It prints great. A little slow warming up, but when it does it prints pretty quickly. I have a small home business so it meets my needs.

We've been using this unit for over 2 years now at work, and is used for printing regularly. I started having issues a few week ago. It looks like chucks of toner that I can actually pick up off the paper, as well as a indentation on the paper about 2" wide running along the length (8 1/2") of the paper. I tried resetting the machine, and finally contacted Brother (USA), and was told my machine was way out of warranty, and the part will not be covered. Nor can I purchase this part. I must call a repair center, and have them come out to fix it. I'm waiting for the repair center to call me back as no one answered the phone. Depending on the cost, I may just throw this machine away, and purchase a different machine altogether.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
