Great for limited space

Old model purchased 2009. No problems until now Feb 2020, Bearing drum. Waiting for part. Otherwise - great washer at 3.1 cu ft for 25" depth and lots of features..Heavy duty, extra quiet. I'd love to have a 4.5 but space won't allow. All current "closet" type washers are 2.2 cu ft

great medium sized enrgy/water efficient washer. remainds me the european washers. i had to fix it after 15 years, the shock absorbers gave and smashed the plastic dispenser tray. After fixing it, the water pump gave. Now 1 year later, it's leaking from broken tray again. I 'm not decided if fixing or junking. looks like 15-16 is the maximum lifespan for this.

We have had this over 17 years. The only problem was some coins got into the pump and blocked it...that was 15 years ago. The inside of the gasket which receives the door is always full of wet lint...very hard to clean that off. We always leave the door open to keep it from becoming stale. Our clothes come out clean and it works great. Have a family of four.

We've been using it for over 10 years now in a house with 7 adults doing a lot of laundry. Never had a single issue with it, never had to repair or replace anything on it.

Brown Spots All Over the Clothes

After 9 year use, the washer started making really loud noise while spinning. Recently, it became really loud and there are greasy brown spots all over the clothes after washing, especially when I put long and/or thick white ones. What is the expected life span for this washer?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is not possible to determine the life span or life expectancy of an appliance, even an approximate age. There are many variables involved, like: frequency of use, type of use, location of appliance (ex. high humidity; near the ocean; etc.), care, and maintenance. Repairs are typically not cost effective on an older appliance, replacement is recommended.

Please Bring Back 3.1cu.ft Under-counter Model

This Model was too tall to replace the 3.1 cu.ft. under-counter model WSXH208A1WW. Please bring the under-counter model back as well as the under-counter dryer. I have to get mine rebuilt so I can keep it in my kitchen, one of the attractions of my home.

Didn't last five years. My neighbor has the same model and hers has the same issues mine does--doesn't spin, doesn't complete a cycle, sometimes works/sometimes doesn't.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
