Best camera I've had

I've had several cameras. Having little children, one of the most important features to me was of course, fast shutter speed and continuous shots. I can take a picture every 2-3 seconds w/ flash, 1-2 w/o flash. Super high quality photos and features. An excellent value for the money!
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable
Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance

Best Camera Ever

Seriously..
It's my first camera and I've had it since last year. It's gone pretty much everywhere with me because I've grown so attached to it that I barely let it go.
It's great for teens or people that want a camera to just go out and take pictures easily. It's great at parties, around kids and pets, and for pretty much anything, and it's excellent when you're out in the sun. =D

I love it so much. I like the design, compact, easy to use. What I like it more than just the quality is that it is rectangular which look so nice. Love it...

Really good camera

I got this as a birthday gift last year and loved it.. its a great camera, and its been over a year-- and im stilll figuring it out! theres so many special things, and its great to mess around with it and see what things are available on the camera. so many new things i never used on this thing even though ive had it over a year. its awesome for taking videos.. and its not that slow, really. i have two memory cards for it (my parents gave me a better one than the one included, then i bought one). and the battery lasts forever. ive only had to charge it a few times. the best part? its a lithium ion battery so no more messing around with normal batteries and having to buy new ones all the time- just plug the lithium ion battery into the wall charger and you are all set. thats my favorite part!! its clean, small-- and so many of my friends prefer my camera over their own because there is virutally no "shutter shake!" its clean, easy, and fun..and did i mention strong? ive dropped this thing so many times im amazed it still works...and it has no scratches!.. and i dont think ill ever go back to another brand.... Canon has stole me!

Excellent Camera. By Now I have purchased 4 canon camera (digital) - S30, S40, SD1000 - 2 and all of them are excellent camera. SD - 1000 is a bargin for the price. Compact, perfect for a day trip where you can click 200 pictures. I purchased one for my sister and she loves it also. I purchased one olympus FE-230 almost same price as SD-1000 and lasted less than a year. Will never ever purchase any other camera as far as compact digital is concerned. Also purchased a Nikon D-300 and reason for that is I do carry lot of Nikin lens otherwise would have considered Canon again.

I think this camera is great! It fits in my little purse while also allowing me to take great pictures. I carry it with me everywhere and the battery lasts for weeks! You definately need a new memory stick but even with that extra cost, it's worth it. Hang on to your charger, I just lost mine and that's what brought me to this website (it's expensive). Over all, I LOVE my camera and I highly recommend it!!

I love this camera

I bought this camera a year and a half ago to replace my power shot 540 after it fell into the Minnesota River. I still love this camera after all this time. I have been complimented on the quality of my photos many times since owning this camera. It has enough control to make the pictures turn out vivid and sharp for the most part. I really like the extended shutter mode, the lighting selection and the color choices. I always shoot on the lowest possible ISO so that the detail and smoothness are as good as they can be. If I could make changes to the camera I would like more zoom, better digital zoom quality, a larger screen and better low light capability. Over all this is a very excellant camera and the size is small enough so that I carry it on me always.

Love this camera

I have been using this camera for 9 mos. now. It is the best camera I have ever owned. My use is mostly for home, the grandkids etc. Family vacations and such. It is easy to use, small enough to carry along wherever we go. The pictures all come out great. The lcd lens on back is perfect size. I recommend purchasing a 1 gb memory card to hold lots of pics and videos. The rechargable battery is the only way to go. It lasts plenty long, and doesnt take long to recharge. It would be even better to have an extra battery, But not necessary. I Love this camera!!!!!
