Horrible to clean

We bought this cook top in February of 2012. Since we have it we find that it's impossible to keep the top clean. It smears very easily and it leaves marks that are impossible to clean. I set a hot pan from the oven on the top and now I have a mark that I can't get off. We even used the cleaner that came with the top and still can't get it clean. I would think twice before you bought this top. If I had the money I would throw this cook top out and purchase another brand.

Although cooktop heats quickly and cooks efficiently, it is difficult to clean and the stainless steel scratches WAY too easily

The cooktop does a very good job. The problem with it is the Stainless Steele frame and the Stainless Steele control panel. They are next to impossible to keep smudge free! I wish I had purchased the black frame and control panel or none at all! In fact, I think G E should recall any of the stove tops using the substandard Stainless Steele that was used on Model PP32SMSS30".

Good, but not great

I had to replace the model I bought in 2002 due to damage during a house intrusion. This one doesn't look as nice, and I haven't figured out why the bridge element exists. It works, but new features aren't useful. New, but not improved.

Great Stove!!

I upgraded all my appliances whenever I purchased my house and I have been extremely satisfied with this stove. It has some super awesome features with the dedicated burner that heats up faster and being able to combine two of them to make a larger burner for a griddle or large pan. So far, I love it and have no complaints!!

stove for non cooks

I've had this stove top for several years (5)... and it looks horrible. Scratches, the stainless rim has come off and been resealed several times... the heat is inconsistent and all the markings have worn off!! I expected so much more from GE.
