Perfect for long flights, ect.

OK, I gotta say, I love this thing. It is much smaller then I expected when I first saw it on the shelves at REI. I bought it specifically for a trip to Iceland (my IPOD won't last the long flight) for my audio books. However, I also found another use for it. Imagine spending a long day in Las Vegas walking around, you lose track of time, maybe get seperated from your pals, and now you can't text them cause your phone is dead. This thing is small enough to keep with you all day.. just don't forget the cord and correct tips. Most phones should get a full charge, or at least close. People need to remeber Smart Phones are more and more power hungry these days, and the laws of physics still apply!. This is a great product. I love the small LED indicator lights. The ONLY upgrade I could see is a waterproof version. I own a Casio Commando phone and that is waterproof... just sayin . GREAT PRODUCT!!

I think the price is a little high when you can buy the guide ten plus instead. I bought both of these at the same time to compair. They have a flashlight tip for an additional price. I think for this price the flashlight tip should be included. Would make it a great selling item. But maybe the best we can hope for is a combo for discount. It does fit in my pocket and its light weight when I take my family to theme parks, mma tournaments and etc. I just don't agree with the price. Sorry goal zero.

Switch 8 - Backpacking and Travel

I've used this extensively when I travel abroad, domestically and on various backpacking trips. The size and weight are perfect for throwing into a pack and being assured that you'll have access to your iPhone if needed. It charges quickly and has enough juice for a full charge. I plug it into my computer or a USB wall device for charging, and I've also charged it with the Nomad 7 which worked perfectly. It's a great product and I'd highly recommend one of these.

The switch 8 is so convient for charging your cell when out and away from power. The small size is perfect for a mall bag or tucking into your glove box. We have used it many times when traveling, camping and even when just at home. Works great! The iPhone 4 generation is hard to charge with the switch 8. It is the iPhone that is the source of the problem. You need to work with it a little but it will charge. Recommend switch 8.

We use the Switch 8 almost daily. Charge it outside in the sun when available and usually recharge a phone or ipad in the evening. If cloudy and I still have power left in the Escape 150 then I'll recharge from there to use to recharge a device. It's small, convenient, love the LED lights to give me an idea how much power is left and its very easy to use with USB connections to charge devices or to get recharged from the Nomad 7. Hope to get at least one more.

You need to help the customers and list compatible smartphones. If different connectors are needed for a particular smartphone, please identify them with the brands. Hard to find information on connectors, list options right with product.

Got this hoping it would be enough to charge a cell phone from zero. It can but barely. I have an Iphone 4s and it can basically charge it up. It only has the ability to charge it once on a full charge.

The Switch has been a really cool add to my electronics arsenal. We throw it on the dash of our car with the Nomad 3.5 and we've always got some backup power for our phones.
