great standby source of power to charge

i keep myine plugged in for emergency use and use daily to chagre cell phones and rechargeable batteries.

Used mostly during power outages so far- the battery still had plenty of charge even after sitting in my closet for a few months! Used during a music festival weekend to keep our phones/cameras charged up-worked fine-but you must charge from the battery only- the panel itself would not support a charge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

While camping at a scout jamboree, I was able to maintain a charge on three separate iPhones for a week! Very easy to use.

just the right size

I was looking for a small recharable backup battery for my phone when I know it will be a long day of traveling. The switch was just right. While I do have a larger battery in my phone this is enought to get me back in the game for a half day of phone life. At one point I thought this was to have changeable ends with the correct attachement. Guess that was not in the final design. Add chanagble tips like the usg 2.0 on the charge side and this would be the best EDC carry item ever.

I bought the Goal Zero Switch 8 for a trip to the UK knowing that I won't have access to electricty throughout the day. I've used GZ Switch 8 several times and it's a convenient charger that I can carry in my purse. My kids love the extra charger too for the iphones.

I bought this a while back and I love it. I use if when i'm on the road and at the airport. I'm military and i'm usually on the go so this is very useful to keep my cell topped off. Its worth the investment especially if you are a hiker and spend most of your time outdoors.

I took the switch 8 elk hunting. It was great to charge my phone at night and during the day the switch 8 would charge on my my solar panel:)
