Stainless Steel Trim gets in the way

We had a similar GE cook top that lasted us for years and years which is why we opted for another similar model. I love this cook top and it does heat up very fast - especially on the "boil" burner. Only downside is the stainless trim is higher than the glass. This causes it to sometimes get in the way of the pans and makes it harder to clean. Another reviewer also said that it scratched so be aware. The trim is factory installed and the cook top cannot be installed without it.

Clean cooktop with great features!

We bought the GE cooktop several months ago and purchased this model based upon the balance of features offered, the quality of the product, and cost. This is for our second kitchen and we purchased a GE product based upon our experience with the GE Profile products we own in our primary kitchen.

No More Drip Pans!

I have had this range top since December. I actually wanted a gas range top, but after I found out about the added work and expense, I opted to go with the smooth top. The product performs well; however, I find that I have to clean it more diligently than merely wiping it off as I might with a conventional range top. I do appreciate the fact that it keeps the heat regulated.
