Cook top Stove

Our new home is total electric and this is what we were stuck with. Very difficult to clean. I prefer gas cooking over the cooktop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One stove doesn’t heat up

One of the stove does not heat up even though the indicator lights up. Am unable to open the glass top to see if it’s the switch that’s the problem. Does anyone know how to open the glass top?
