we bought this model in April 2011, and today the microwave stopped heating , although the lights and motor were running. Then it began to smell overheated. 
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i have this oven for 4 yars and has never work properly, finally it stop heating at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Microwave fan will not turn off

JVM1750SMSS.. this model fan came on and will not turn off. Tripped my kitchen unit, literallyturned off the stove range and kitchen lights occasionally. I was advised by my electrician to buy a new microwave. I have all GE appliances just no luck with this one.
GE is a great product but I guess this one has to go.

The microwave fan can run for up to 2 hours to keep the components cool and will then shut off on its own. This is normal and working as designed. However, if the microwave trips the house fuse or breaker we recommend resetting the breaker and trying the microwave.
