I have a lot of lower back pain everyday. I rely on the Shiatsu massage cushion to help get me threw the day. It really helps to loosen my back muscles up so I can function at a more normal level. My only negative issue with the cushion is that I have to sit on a pillow to get my lower back up high enough for the massager to completely reach all of my lower back.

I previously had the inexpensive Thera-P that died after 11 months of 3 hour a day usage. To replace it I stepped up to this model and am already extremely happy. I have always appreciated how these units help loosen my back muscles up in the morning and keep them from tightening all day at the computer, but this unit has a couple other advantages. Specifically, the thicker and more rigid frame actually works MUCH better in my desk chair which has a curved back support. That might not be the case for all users, but for me it is perfect. And the controller on a cord is much more convenient. I wish the autoshut off could be adjusted for a longer time but that is a minor issue.

I've had one of these for a few years now, bought at a store, and find it extremely helpful loosening up my stiff back every morning, and again in evening after work. Conveniently fits on kitchen table chair, so I can use it during morning coffee, and at dinner. I specifically like the "tap" feature on this one, which gives a nice deep pulsation to the muscles. Ordered a second online for patio. Arrived defective, but no problem exchanging.
