Two shrortcomings. 1. The end of cycle alearm even at its highest volume is too weak to be heard above a TV. 2. The door catch leaves a lot to be desired. You have to puch on the door in just the right sweet spot in order to9 get it to latch.

My husband actually picked this pair. Kudos to him. Love the stain features. Only had them about 2 months. Still learning however there never seems to be much dirty laundry. Can't even hear them running. Family always chose GE, guess I'm following tradition.

A Solid Dryer

My wife and I didn't think we needed a "large" dryer, and then we found the right-height dryer that had a large capacity and had tons of features at the right price.
Now that we have the Dryer, we have been washing all of our comforters, blankets, dog beds, and everything "large" that we normally wash at the laundrymat.
It works great on work clothes too with the seam function.
So all things considered, it was worth the extra price and size to get a dryer that can do it all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Right Height!

I love this dryer. First, it is wonderful to finally be able to buy a front loading dryer without having to buy a pedestal to make it the right height. Secondly, the capacity is large enough to handle large loads. It also takes 20-30 minutes less than my previous front loading dryer to dry a normal load.

High Cost / Quick Failure

We purchased this dryer and had it delivered / installed in our new home late in August. After only three loads of clothes being dried, one of the two stainless steel moisture sensing rods fell out of the lint trap holder assembly. This failure caused the dryer to stop functioning correctly in the Auto dry mode - as it thought the clothes were dry within the first one minute of the cycle. We scheduled a warranty repair call online and the unit was repaired about ten days later. Not very impressed with the dryer's durability so far - especially considering the cost. Seems to be functioning correctly since the repair though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
