Excellent picture right out of the box , extremely high definition, excellent array of options and controls, great looking set, curved screen really makes a difference when multiple persons are viewing in a smaller room
There are so many things wrong with this TV that I am sure I will miss some of them.
The only thing I like is the picture - it is stunning, even on over 720 content. Now for the bad news...
When you turn the TV on for the first time the settings are incredibly jacked up. The main problem is the "soap opera effect." This has to do with the motion settings. Motion is in two places. One of them is in Advanced Settings which is grayed out. To 'ungrey' the setting you have to have another setting changed. I did it, but at this writing I cannot remember what it is.
From this point I had to do a number of things to get the picture so it was watchable. There are other settings that simply do not work. Game Mode is one. I tried this when we were watching the Broncos and the TV lit up to the point that the players were glowing. While I am at that, the TV doesn't handle whites in the center of the screen while the play is happening. It is ok when they show close-ups of the players. From distance, there is no definition on the player's jerseys. You cannot see the jersey's folds because the white is so bright. So I tried the contrast; the backlight; the background blacks.
I bought this tv to watch.. I program software all day. I don't want to do it at home with a television.
So, let's talk about watching it. In order to do that you have to use the remote. For us, the remote is too small. It also very very touchy. We find that we change it with very little pressure. Also, the interface that Samsung created to train the remote to control is hit-and-miss - at best. One time it will work to control the volume on the receive. The next time I try and set it up it won't. It does work to control the Comcast set top box..
The remote also controls the menus on the TV itself. When you click the Menu 123 button you get a keypad and a string of icons on the top of the screen. When you enter an icon you cannot back up. It always takes you all the way out and then you have to do the same steps to get back in. Plus, on this "Smart TV" the icons do not learn which ones you use most (the picture re-size comes to mind). You have to scroll to the left over icons you never use to get to Picture Re-size- tiresome.
Speaking of picture re-size, there are parameters at the end of the manual, but they don't seem to work. The most bothersome of which is the 4:3. We watch content that is this size. If you can't change it from 16:9 to 4:3 the picture is blurred and - to me - unwatchable.
There's more, but maybe you get the picture.
Samsung has packed so much into this TV that they have made it a total pain in the butt. They should have set it to regular TV viewing out of the box. Regular TV viewing is a frustrating mess with this product.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, complicated, frustrating, maddening
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

10 years or so ago while i was shopping, and researching specs and reviews, I had narrowed my choices down to a couple of Samsung models and had a cabinet built to put it in. Then to my surprise my better half and I were out shopping and ran into a crazy good deal on another brand. A months worth of research down the drain and 10 years of regret later we finally decided to get a new set. This time my research was done rather quickly and the decision was made to get a Samsung. What a difference, we love everything about the new set. Don't hesitate if you find your Samsung at the right price, just grab it. you won't be sorry
This t.v.has an incredible picture. The features are a nice plus- coonects easily to home wi-fi. If there is one thing i am not happy with.., it would be the remote. Sorry- but i like numbers. I like to easily change the channel in the dark. This remote is akward and not easy to use. I bought a universal remote and it is not an issue. Actually, bought two universals, one for me and one by my husbands chair. It is really a beautiful t.v.., i would recommend it
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, wi-fi features
Cons: remote

This tv is once again what I was expecting on a Samsung TV. The resolution is incredible and the best of is very user friendly to operate. Finally, is a good price for the quality of the TV.
This is actualy more than a mere TV as We see it as a home theater. The picture with our directv is very good and with blue ray excellent. We have not had much uhd content but the little I have seen is a mind blowing experience. One great TV for sure!
Pros: Realistic color, great picture.

This Samsung UHD-Smart TV is awesome! It has so many features that optimize your tv watching performance. I love the picture, the color, the sound. Everything I watch makes me feel like I'm live on the set. I truly enjoy getting off from work, coming home and watching tv. It has vibrant color and has internet access and many other functions. Its very futuristic and technological. I want another one--Bigger!
