Fantastic Tool For All Photographers

Having the ability to "dump" your daily photo shoots into a device that will hold them for subsequent download is a real photographer's dream. The fidelity of my Raw images are not compromised. The photos can be edited for keepers or the trash can and having each soot identified by date makes for great organization.

Not what I expected

Driver not Windows 7 compatable and difficult or impossible to get the update to work. I followed the directions to the letter and still no luck. I bought this to have along with my shoot during a trip to Costa Rica and doubt now if I'll take it along. Need help to update the firmware and the driver for Windows 7.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Solution

I have used this product in the field, in the hotel room after a day of shooting on vacation, and at home. It's a great tool - much easier to carry and handle than a laptop. The screen resolution is astounding. Zoom capability allows you to check fine focus points. Built in review screens include highlights, histogram, and other EXIF information - all of which are useful. Lightweight, compact, well-designed and sturdy. Good value.

Doesn't work

Bought the p-3000 on 7/11/10 via the internet and used it for the first time on 7/18/10. Inserted a CF card and nothing happened. The access light didn't come on and no photos downloaded. Tried another CF card and still the photos didn't download. Followed all the instructions, tried the reset, triple checked the menu, and still nothing. I'm at a loss as to how to get this thing to work or send it back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
