If your pictures are important to you being able to back up quickly guarantees that they will not be lost. Also, the screen is big enough to share the pictures. It’s perfect if you don’t want to lug your laptop.

Sweet Machine

The P-3000 is a sweet storage device that makes loading and reviewing photos very easy. The large screen and zoom functions are great features. I recently traveled to China and the P-3000 was very valuable in storing my photos while freeing up my compact flash cards for additional photos. The 40GB storage capacity was more than adequate for my 2 week trip. The P-3000 even displays RAW camera files. Battery life is excellent - exceeded my expectations. No regrets here with my purchase.

More convenient than a lap top when traveling and what slide shows! Music sound great too. I love my Epson P-300 for the 4" viewer and ease of use.

EPSON P-5000

Holds thousands of large pix. Great for travel; back up CF or SD cards; large screen helps decide what to delete, then remaining pix can be downloaded to computer when you get home. I never travel without it.

Wonderful machine

I have had the Epson P-3000 for several years now and love the resolution and quickness with which it downloads movies and photos. It really lives up to it's billing. Customer service has been awesome. I recently tried to load a HD720p which the P-3000 does not support and the service folks helped me sort out the problem swiftly and efficiently. This is a great piece of equipment for all your trips, esp. when you don't want to drag a computer along.

I have used two previous Epson P-3000 units and find them to be an excellent resource. The viewer is superb photo quality, which makes it a great way to evaluate my work in the field.

Poor quality plastic in covers for ports

I purchased this some time ago, and just now unpacked and set it up. I was disappointed that both of the door covers for the charging port and the USB and Video connections sockets kind of crumbled when I first opened them and the plastic is so soft it kind of dissolved and neither door can be put back on the unit, leaving the sockets exposed and not looking very professional.
I hope I can get replacement doors for this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
