Motor went out quickly

We had this range hood installed professionally, and almost immediately the medium speed setting resulted in vibration into the wall. A few uses later and the fan blades sounded like they were hitting something. Turns out, the fan bearings went out.
Parts for the warranty repairs have taken months to receive, and that date has been pushed back. Seems many of the fan motors are defective and GE is having issues replacing them.
Overall, it's a pleasant looking piece of tin, but when you see it in person it looks on the cheap side. The ducting is low quality and appears to just kind of hang on the wall with no integral appearance. When the fan worked it did a fair job moving air. The lights work.

This is the first range hood I have had. It is wonderful. It pulls heat and odors out of the kitchen quick as a wink. I find this appliance especially attractive. I like the black slate. Best feature is the lighting.
