Very loud

I really like the looks of this range hood and the ease of cleaning the grease filters however it is much more noisy than I expected. I thought I did my homework by paying close attention to the scone’s rating but in my opinion this hood does not come close to the specification sheets description. On low I cannot understand conversation or the TV. The middle speed drowns out everything. I don’t use high, it’s just too loud.Sorry I bought it.

We'd like to help with your hood. This unit requires 6” ducting to perform optimally. Using a smaller duct pipe will cause reduced venting. We recommend minimizing the duct run length and number of transitions and elbows. This will help with the noise.

The range hood is built cheap but good for the price. One of the lights is out already after three month in service.
