cleans well and runs quietly

I'm happy with the performance but it broke after on a couple of months and I had to get a new part. The new part was also broken. This was purchased at an outlet so I'll be optimistic and say it was probably mishandled but the replacement???
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replaced an older, noisy dishwasher, very happy

Washes pretty well, occasionally have to re-run a dish, not every load. We have relatively soft water, so that helps. Runs so quietly, that without the small light at the top of the door, I would not know it was running unless I was standing next to it and listening carefully. The house background noise covers the dishwasher noise almost 100%.

Not worth it!

We bought this dishwasher 3 1/2 years ago. We have never had a good wash with this dishwasher unless we clean the dishes before we put them in.
The door needs to be pushed against and held in for it to start and run, and sometimes a couple mins into the cycle it will stop unless you continue to hold the door closed.
today was the last straw-when 15 mins into the 90 min cycle the heating coils on the bottom of the wash tub started burning! I wasn't even using the heat dry or wash boost/sani functions, nor have I ever used them. Im am so thankful that I forgot to run the dishwasher the night before! It could have started my house on fire!!

Just Installed, Working as Expected
on November 29, 2017

Just Installed, So far the dishwasher is working well. For me, the sound (high pitch frequency) created by dishwasher which occurs throughout the wash cycle will take some time to tolerate. Having tinnitus the sound intensifies the ringing in my ears. Perhaps the sound will dissipate as the machine becomes broken in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Have had this dishwasher for 3 years and am still satisfied. Very quiet and I like the variety of options without being too complicated to use.

Wanted to love this dishwasher
on February 28, 2019

We really wanted to love this dishwasher but it’s been a pain. The top trim around the buttons cracked and became loose a little over a year in and won’t stay on at all now. The drawers don’t roll in and out smoothly and have a tendency to roll out after being pushed in. We are faced with replacing this now after 4 years.

Hello Steven727 - Thank you for providing a review on your dishwasher. This is not what we would expect to hear and we're sorry for your experience with the top trim. If the dishwasher door stays fully open and the racks in the dishwasher roll in or out by themselves, the dishwasher is not level. The leveling legs should have been adjusted at installation to ensure the dishwasher is level, front-to-back, and left-to-right. The following Installation Instructions will provide directions on page 10: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-31546.pdf

If you need further assistance, please schedule an appointment with a GE Service Technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or scheduling online at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm?ICID=GEARsupportflyout-service

Thank you for providing your feedback and choosing GE Appliances.

Response from geappliances.comBy Elliot@GEAGE AppliancesJuly 6, 2022
Hello, thank you for taking the time to let us know how we are doing. We are so let down to hear that this dishwasher has not quite met your expectations, and we are so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused for you.

Washing performance can is reliant on a number of different factors. First, we would recommend verifying that the inlet water temperature is hot enough. This can be checked by running the faucet nearest the dishwasher on its hottest setting and verifying the temperature reaches at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. If possible, be sure that "Boost wash temp" is selected. Also, be sure that you are using a high-quality dish detergent and rinse aid along with making sure that the filter is not clogged. More information and steps to improve performance are available on page 26 of the use and care manual, linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55098.pdf

We will also be passing along your feedback regarding the sound level to the appropriate teas, and we appreciate the insight. If there are any ways we can assist you in the future, please feel free to reach out. -Elliot@GEA
