I bought this dishwasher about a year ago. It is very quiet, that is for sure. But the silverware, needs to be spaced so it really clean it.

Soap doesn't dissolve

We bought this brand new, about 2 1/2 years ago. In the past year, after we run it, we notice that the soap is still in the cup. We've tried several different brands, pods, liquid, etc. All to no avail. More often than not, we have to run it twice, the second time without closing the soap cup door, just to clean the dishes.
I sit and listen to it to make sure the door opens, and I can hear it, but the soap is STILL in the cup.
Beyond frustrated!!!!!

Only have run our new dishwasher twice, so far so good. Cleans so much better than old one. Getting used to the layout, not sure about the silverware holders or the slippery black racks. And its SO QUIET which is great! Not crazy about the energy star requirements, but thats government rules. Wasn't crazy about the big GE emblem on the front but once in, you hardly notice.

Attractive. Bottom rack loads fine, top rack not as well. Unit is slightly too wide for standard opening and installed slightly crooked. Very quiet during operation. Doesn't completely dry dishes. Occasional flecks of food on dishes.

GE Dishwasher - Disappointing Purchase

Door does not always remain closed - even after the GE Repairman came to replace the door seal and door hinges within the first two months of purchase date.
Also the unit runs rather loud.
