This has been an exceptional machine. I am most amazed by how quiet this dishwasher is. You literally can't hear it unless there is absolutely no noise in the kitchen. It also does a great job cleaning dishes, even after leaving them all day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Performance at affordable price. All the features and benefits you could ask for. Remember, cheaper is not always better. You can buy a dishwasher for half the price of this model, but you get what you pay for. When you realize this dishwasher will last 10 years or more it is an investment in the highest quality dishwasher. Why get a cheaper more affordable model when you can enjoy all the features GE engineers have incorporated into this state-of-the-art model?

I bought this a few weeks ago and it is quiet and cleans and dries well, but I would expect a new appliance to work well. The really meaningful time to ask for reviews is around the time the extended warranties run out to ensure that these lovely new appliances in fact do keep working for a few years like the ones did that were built in the 50s & 60s.

Terrible quality controll

I am now on my second washer. The first one leaked at the bottom of the door. Apparently this is a common problem judging from other reviews. Ge says it takes a few cycles to seal the door. This should be done in the factory. The second one, the top rack doesn't pull out all the way. It needs a new part which will take another two weeks to get. Apparently there is no one at the factory checking the quality of their products before they are sold to the public.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Install was a bit of a pain in the butt, partly because there was electrical and plumbing to be done to the unit itself...partly because the person who owned the house before us was, well, not handy...
It's a slick looking machine, REALLY quiet too. We've always bought GE appliances and have loved them. This is no exception to that rule!

We purchase this dishwasher a couple of weeks ago and it has been in the home for nearly a week. I did not think that dishwashers were made this well anymore! This dishwasher does exactly as advertised: IT CLEANS YOUR DISHES, even dried on crusty food (and that is without the steam clean feature turned on). I scrap the heavy food off (no prescrubbing of plates), load the unit, turn it on, and find spotless dishes in an hour and a half. I LOVE my new dishwasher!!! In addition, it is the quietest dishwasher we have ever owned. LOVE IT,LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! So far I have nothing bad to say about this dishwasher. It has been 10 years since I have had a dishwasher that works this well, thank you GE!

I've had it for about 4 months now and can say that it has been perfect. I have a family of 7 and have to run it on a nightly basis. It is very quiet, does a great job of cleaning the dishes. Love the bottle wash feature with a newborn.
