1st diswasher that really cleans without prewashin

I've had this dishwasher for a few months. I am single & wash dishes only once every few days. This dishwasher truly cleans my dishes & pans with crusted on food residue. They only thing I find needing scrubbing is that residue that forms in a pot used for long term simmering.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Drain Tubing

I just purchased this dishwasher. Top of the line. Replaced old dishwasher that came with our new house 15 years ago. I installed it myself. I am retired mechanical engineer. The dishwasher drain tube is routed from the bottom of the dishwasher to the left side of the dishwasher where a loop is hung on a bracket before it is routed back down for hook up to the disposal connection. The installation instructions indicate this loop is required for proper operation. The problem for my installation is that this tubing on the side of the dishwasher made the dishwasher wider on the left side of the dishwasher. I could get into the space under the cabinet but the tubing did not allow me to properly center and square up the dishwasher between and under my counter top. I solve this problem by rerouting the drain tubing under the dishwasher and hanging the drain tubing loop and the proper elevation on the back of the dishwasher. I used some duct tape and some wire ties to hopefully make permanent fix. I did bend the light hook bracket on the left side of the dishwasher in some to make sure I had plenty of clearance. This solve my problem and I was able square up the dishwasher for very nice installation. GE should move this loop to the back of the dishwasher or provide an option to do so.

Quiet Operation

It's very quiet, which is good because it runs for over two hours on a regular load of dishes. The door does not have a positive locking mechanism. It looks nice, altho over engineered.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the features of this dishwasher and leaves the dishes completely clean and dry. At times it makes a little more noise than I expected it to, but still is quiet.
