have only scanned 6x7 chromes, stepped up from v500, which is a great scanner, so far the quality of the scans are fantastic........

V700 is as easy as the V300

This new scanner while larger and more evolved than the V300 scanner, it is just as easy to use. In fact it uses nearly the same software (if not the same) but is of much higher quality. So if you are wondering if you would like to buy it but don't know if you can handle the upgraded version, it is easy ... at least so far for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have'nt had my scanner very long, but it is easy to use so far.Being able to put multiple images under the hood sure saves a lot of time.I have hundreds of film negatives and slides to scan so I'll write another review in a few months.

Horrible waiting on exchange

i opened the scanner and the top scanning plate was making a grinding noise and i can't find a program suitable to scan with my iOS software i am waiting on returning the product

I own this machine for 3 years and only used it under hundreds times. I didn't find it's scanning quality much better than your necessary but the mechanical problem were really bather me. Even reality was not matching cheaper regular scanner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Scanner powers up. Communication cannot be established with the computer. Replacement is on its way. We'll see how well the replacement will perform.

Scanner needs to be designed so you can wet mount 8x10 film.
