Energy savings plus attractive appearance minus extra produc

We've had our dishwasher about 6 months and feel it is doing the job quite well. We hope the energy savings are not eaten up by the required use/purchase of Jet Dry rinse accent products. Jet Dry is required in order to have "dry" dishes. The "heated dry" feature does not dry the dishes by itself.

This product works well

I would have to say that overall this is a good dishwasher in terms of getting your dishes clean. The smaller tub is good for those older homes with odd sized cupboards. The problem I've had is the delay timer and pots and pans buttons do not work. Repair has been called...but still not here. Other than that this is a good dishwasher.

Should have done my homework

Bought this dishwasher due to kitchen renovation. Needed a DW is a hurry. Had it for two months now. It does clean the dishes well and it looks nice. However, the capacity is much less than my old KitchenAid. The top rack is 1/3 smaller than the bottom rack. The top rack is not adjustable, so forget about putting wine glasses or to-go coffee cups on the top rack. The plastic connectors on the silverware baskets do not keep the baskets together as a unit which I find annoying. The basket compartments are all the same size so if you have a small plastic lid or small item that shouldn't be put on the rack, there is really no place to put it. My husband calls the silverware baskets flimsy. As for the sound level, it is very loud. When it was first installed, we thought there was a problem with the motor because of how loud it was. The repair person came only to say nothing was wrong. It is just a loud machine. I bought the Whirlpool to match my refrigerator which I was not replacing. I am very disappointed with this DW and will replace it very soon. I'm doing my research now. Hindsight is always 20-20.

Defaulted to this dishwasher due to space issues. Couldn't be happier...washes flawlessly on the normal setting, realitively quiet and super built. Concerned after reading some negative reviews, but have only been pleased. Very similar to the older well built Kitchen aid by Hobart machines.

Effective, quiet, and tiny

Bought this three months ago. Very quiet, dishes are clean. Issue is Tiny capacity. A days dishes for three people completely fills it. 10" or bigger Pots and pans end up hand washed. So if you don't mind doing dishes, and hate dishwasher noise, this is your prefect choice!

It's a little quieter than our old one--that's a plus. It does a GREAT job cleaning the dishes--another huge plus! And I really like being able to choose the "Light" option and being able to NOT choose "Heated Dry."

Wanted to love this but...

We replaced all of our appliances and we love everything else except this dishwasher. We chose this model because of the stainless steel tub but it seems to be one of the only features we actually like about it.It fits in the space that our old dishwasher fit in and yet it seems, capacity-wise, it is a good bit smaller. It is a tall tub dishwasher and yet that is irrelevant due to the loss of width and depth of the tub. We are running loads more often than was necessary prior to installation. The silverware basket is probably our biggest peeve. It is constantly falling apart. It doesn't fit well in the space it is made for and nothing secures it to the rack. It is cheaply made of light plastic and is an awful design feature. The racks are more annoying than anything. The bottom is always falling off of it's sliding grooves and does not slide smoothly out. It catches in a gap between the door and the bottom of the dishwasher. This knocks it off of the grooves, and requires you to manually place it back in place.May be a plus for some but we learned from our mistake that is was not... The drying cycle seems too hot (even with the heated dry option turned off) We have melted a couple items- one of them being, our dishwasher safe blender pitcher that is unable to fit on the top rack. The manual refers to an air-dry or energy-saving dry option but I don't believe there is a setting outside of keeping the heated dry option off.The dishwasher cleans well for the most part. Have had some issues with silverware not getting clean. On the plus side the buttons are self explanatory and running the dishwasher is very simple. I also like the lock feature, since we have a 2 year old that likes pressing buttons. And as I mentioned before, I like the stainless tub. It is easy to clean when needed and for us it seems to stay cleaner than the plastic tubbed dishwashers.
