This washer has exceeded my expectations. We stacked it with the dryer, Very quiet, no vibrations. Only draw back the unit is slightly larger than other designs and we had to turn it sideways in my laundry room.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sometimes laundry machines can be intemidating. These machines have made it fun to experiement with the different settings and determine what works best at getting the clothes the cleanest and is the most efficient use of energy. I actually enjoy having lots of laundry!

New hi tech features

This new front load machine has so many more features than my previous machine had. I especially love the steam clean feature for my pillows. It seems to clean my clothes faster than my other unit did. The cycle signal is more of a tune and we joke around that the washer communicates with the dryer. I also love the new color and design which is very stylish and modern.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I thought a washer was a washer ... boy was I wrong!

My old washer died after 12 years and when looking for a washer I thought they were all the same. I chose based on availability, reputation, and price. I didn't even think I 'needed' the steam option. Turns out I was right on the first 3 and dead wrong on the last. The product was available, of course Whirlpool has a great reputation and the pricing was reasonable. What I didn't realize was what a great machine I was getting! First capacity ... at least another half load over my older front loader, second quiet smooth operation, ease of use (don't let the buttons fool you ... it's super easy to use), and lets not forget the steam - OMG I've never seen my kids socks so white. And for a challenge I washed a stained white garment that hasn't been worn in a while because I though the stain was set ... guess what now it's gone. Also the fan dry option is awesome for when I get the last load in at night ... it tumbles it with air periodically overnight and I'm ready to go the next morning with almost dry clothes and no musty smell whatsoever.

Bough this in November 2013. Great machine!! Combines excellence, class, and cleaning power all within a quiet machine that has been reliable and strong since the day I bought it!!Definitely recommended

First Front load washer

First new washing machine in over 17 years. It took a bit to get used to the front load and the auto dispenser of detergent but loving it now. We like the visual light display for the options on the front panel. Also was interesting to watch though the clear front door as the machine went through the cycles. Amazing to me how it can judge the water levels for the different load sizes.Very quiet.

We needed to purchase this washer because the last Whirlpool front load model "Duet" we purchased less than 5 years drive failed! We are hoping this model with direct drive will last longer. If not, we will not purchase another Whirlpool washer!
