We purchased thisWhirlpool Duet Model after researching several brands, and talking to individuals that had bought this particular model. We also purchased the matching Gas Dryer with the pedestals. We owned them approximately three months.The washer does an excellent of cleaning our clothes, veryefficient, We use less detergent, softeners and energy. This our first front washer and very please with our Whirlpool product.

be sure to read instructions first. help line was a lot of help to get more info. I wish noise level was lower when water is being let into washer

Cleaner clothes while saving water

I love this washing machine. The Duet? Steam Front Load Washer replaced our 20 year old washer, which used 47 gallons of water per load. We saw an immediate 30% decrease on our water bill. I had heard that front load washers don't get clothes as clean as top loaders. However, that has not been my experience. The Duet cleans my family's clothes better than the top loader did. We have had our Duet for six months now and have not had any problems with performance.
