small but powerful

bought this in october didn't start using until remodel in kitchen was done in november. I'm finding it is the perfect size for my household of two, but for thanksgiving I had to run several times to get all dishes done we had 11 people that day, so a lot of extra dishes.

Perfect for small space

I wanted to work a dishwasher into my kitchen renovation but don't have much space. My household consists of my husband and myself so we only have to run it a couple of times a week. It gets my dishes clean and sparkly and runs relatively quietly.

First one defective but

The first dishwasher installed leaked throughout the new kitchen from a defective part. Our installer said do not repair, get another new one. We needed this small size, otherwise I would purchases another brand. After another 2+week wait, another Whirlpool dishwasher was installed. 2 months later still working well - no leaks. It does work well for a small dishwasher. It is all a 2 person household needs

we ordered this dishwasher for our renovated kitchen because of space issues. We wanted a dishwasher but a regular size would not fit it. The dishwasher is now running well, but it took us awhile to figure it out. The first problem was streaks and stains on the dishes and the door of the dishwasher. I have had a dishwasher in other homes, but this had me stumped. I tried changing the small adjustment for hard water and that did not help. I had our water temperature checked by a plumber but that proved to be ok. Finally I bought the premium dishwasher detergent and that solved the problem. It is a little disconcerting that I have to buy the very best detergent or the washer doesn't work well.The rinse dispenser is difficult to deal with. The little window that indicates when rinse aid is needed is very hard to read. The first time I filled it I had no idea when I had put enough in, so, of course, I overfilled it and ended up with rinse aid all over the door. Finally after a couple weeks I think I have it figured out, but it's not exactly user friendly.And finally, the top rack is very difficult to move in and out. It does not move smoothly and the glassware rattles and jumps as I move it in and out - not a serious problem, but an annoyance.I know I cannot expect this little guy to have the features of the bigger and more expensive models, and I wish we could have put in a regular size dishwasher, but you asked for a review so here it is. Hope it gives you some useful information.

Overall pretty good

Overall this dishwasher is pretty good. Very quiet and it does an excellent job cleaning dishes. Takes ~2 hours to go through an entire "normal wash" cycle which isn't too bad. However, the layout design inside the dishwasher is TERRIBLE! The upper rack's tines are not conducive to cereal bowls, the lower ones do a poor job of handling both large and small plates. I invariably spend 10 minutes trying to get my dishes to fit and we don't use a lot of dishes.

Great dishwasher!

I have limited space in my kitchen, so I needed a compact dishwasher. It holds quit a bit, does a great job cleaning, and is quiet. I also like the silver ware basket - it separates everything so they always come out clean.
