Great Picture and Great Tech involved

Great Picture and Great Tech involved. This LG TV is the best I had so far. I had another LG 42 60 HZ. I still have it and the kids are using it everyday for the last 6 years. Then I bought another LG TV, smart 3d 55 in, 120 Hz which I loved too much. Unfortunately, it was stolen in a burglary incident from my house with other items. I am calling that day "the black Friday" as it happened in one of Fridays last year. All the family felt sad about it and missed it so much. So we decided to buy something similar, but I thought to buy better qualities of LG. So we bought this Smart 3rd, 240 HZ, 60 in. The moving picture is in its best quality that I had not seen before.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Great Family TV

This is a great TV for our family. I worried a high gloss screen would be too reflective, and it is to some extent, but we usually don't have bright lights behind us to see reflected in the screen. It's fast and responsive. The magic remote took a little learning because you shake it to get it started, but the learning was easy. I bought a second remote from LG both to use now so one is at both ends of the couch and have a spare if the original quits working. I wish LG would supply two remotes out of the box.

Good not great

There is a lot of good about this TV but I just can't get the picture right. There are so many options and settings and I'm sure a professional service person could probably dial it in better, but I just can't seem to get it right. Most programs take on a kind of "soap opera lighting" look to them. My son says it looks like British TV. I've monkeyed with the settings 100 times and I just can't get it.
Also, the remote does not replace all your other remotes. I actually now have to use 3 remotes just to turn the TV on and get the sound on. When I had all Sony gear everything actually did work from one remote.

I was initially a little unsure of the picture quality when first viewed in the store. However, I took the plunge because of a very favorable review in a leading consumer magazine. After some fine-tuning, all is well.

Your product is terrible. We have been trying to agree to the user agreement for days. Finally figured it out and now it won’t let us log in in order to actually use the thing. Never buying an Lg product again.

I was amazed at how clear the picture is on this television. We were replacing a ten year old HDTV that was hard to see, due to all of the windows in our living room. Not a problem with this television. The added 3D feature is great too. Especially now that you can order 3D movies on demand. The remote took a few minutes to get used to, but I really like it. The audio is very good too. If you are wanting a true theatre experience, then you will need to invest in a sound system. The speakers in the television are good enough for our large living room. Definitely recommend this product.
