Not Up To Par

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I expected more from a Braun product. This shaver was terrible. It is a beautifully designed piece of machinery, but it doesn't shave nearly as well as a disposable safety razor. It left me with razor burn, ingrown hairs, and pain from hairs being pulled out of my face instead of cut off. I received the shaver free as a testing trial sample from Braun. Even with it being free it will be sent to be recycled or, perhaps, used to remove lint pills from my clothes. It's that bad. Sorry, Braun. This was an epic fail.

Not your typical foil shaver!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must admit to being a bit skeptical when trying out the Braun Series 3-3040 shaver. I have used foil shavers in the past have had a bad impression of them ever since. However, this shaver is much different and has now replaced everything in my shaving arsenal except for my beard trimmer.
The closeness of the shave from the Braun 3-3040 shaver is similar to that of any other type of shaver I have ever tried, and ranks directly behind a straight razor shave. My neck has always been a problem area, and now my new Braun 3-3040 cuts through that tough hair like butter!
I couldn't be more happy with the Braun 3-3040 shaver, thanks Braun!

Braun Series 3-3040 tames a skeptic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have found the best electric shaver for my face! Finally. In a search that spanned 25 years, I had tried all types of electric shavers. I had found nothing that could give me a close shave and be tame on my sensitive skin. The foil shavers I tried were always far inferior and were never gentle to the skin. This all changed with my FREE Braun Series 3-3040 that I received as a trial. I am hooked and my wife is too! She cannot keep her hands off my smooth and silky face! Thanks Braun! I am indebted to you for life!

An incredible upgrade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very wary when I accepted this campaign because I purchased the last version of this exact same shaver last year and had terrible results. It took 15 minutes to get a halfway decent shave that I then had to clean up with a regular razor. This version does everything right that the old version did wrong! I was floored when I used the shaver and with minimal pressure had a completely clean shave in under 5 minutes and didn't need to pull out my other razor! I've really got to hand it to Braun for doing everything right with this version and I would urge people who've written previous versions of this shaver off to try this new version.
I did knock one star off because the first use left a greasy black residue on my face in places but it washed right off and hasn't been an issue since.

Fast and painless shave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just shaved with this Braun3 and love it. Usually I get minor cuts even with shavers,but with this shaver the story was another. I shaved fast, no cuts, no irritation, easy going on dificult places. The best of all the easy way to clean it. Love the rechargable system since it last a lot. So if your looking for an electric shaver this is the one.

Lacks Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product works to get started, but differently not finish a shave. It leaves spots, pulls hair, and is kind of rough. I was not impressed, nor would I recommend the product. Sad since I was excited once I found out I was chosen to test the product. Overall, a bad taste in my mouth with the brand.

Middle of the pack razor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was both impresses and disappointed with the Braun 3-3040 Wet and Dry Razor. I love the idea of being able to have a rechargeable razor that I can use in the shower, plus one that can be used as a standard razor on a day-to-day basis. The Braun razor did a good job of getting the course hair, but the fine hair around the chin line seemed to be left behind. That wasn't a problem for me, but I could see where it could be with men that get a heavy 5 o'clock shadow, or grow facial hair faster than I do. The Braun Series 3 30-40 Razor held a charge for an entire day, which was great since I took it along to work for those quick touch-ups before meetings at the end of the day. I will continue to use this razor on a regular day-to-day basis, unless I need that perfectly smooth feeling, than I'll have to use a manual razor to get that silky smooth feeling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Braun Series 3-3040 is a pretty good razor. I have very coarse and thick hair on my face the kind that needs to be shaved every day or I begin to look like a caveman. I have a small lined beard with a goatee and love the trimmer on the side of the razor it makes great straight lines. The razor works both wet and dry which is a bonus and charges up so I can take it with me if I am in a hurry. I works well on giving me a nice shave although with my hair it does take a few passes at it.
