After 2 months of use, black glass cooktop developed dull spots and smudges ... all we used to clean it was the CeramaBryte and scrub pad supplied with the range. I guess the Achilles Heel of an otherwise great range and oven is the delicate and touchy black glass cooktop.

Poor product design

6 years after purchase temperature labels for burnersstarted to disappear..now completely gone .

Great stove!

We've had this stove for several months. The cooktop heats quickly and evenly, and the oven works as expected for a premium unit.

My preference would not have been stainless steel, but to meet size requirements and to get desired features I was limited in choices. The black cook top has been easier than I expected to keep clean but does require more time than my older enameled top. Oven racks have discolored and I cannot determine why as I have only used the oven a few times and then food was inside a dish not directly on the racks.

Looks great in my new kitchen

I like the clean lines, easy to clean, heats fairly quickly. I changed from a coil top to a glass top to update my kitchen. The glass top looks nice BUT...its not as easy to clean as I had expected. The cleaning product that came with the stove works fine but I find I do have to use a razor blade to clean cooked on grime.

First the positives: good selection of features, attractive appearance, burners heat very fast.
On the negative side: the burners are hard to control and are not consistent. For example, when you use a large griddle across the two left side burners, common sense tells you to set both burners the same. When I do that for pancakes, the ones over the back burner are scorched before the ones over the front burner are even brown.
Before moving to a new house and buying this range, I had a GE Profile ceramic cooktop for 12 years and was very happy with it. I thought I knew what to expect with a similar product. However, the burners on the new range are hard to control -- there's very little leeway between not hot enough to cook properly and so hot the food burns.
Overall I would say this range does not live up to the quality I've come to expect from GE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best range I have ever owned!

I AM 41 YEARS OLD AND HAVE MOVED 10 TIMES IN THE PAST 25 YEARS. I HAVE USED MANY RANGES, SOME OLD AND OTHERS BRAND NEW. I HAVE NEVER HAD A RANGE LIKE THIS. IT IS ATTRACTIVE, VERY EASY TO KEEP CLEAN AND THE OVEN BAKES SPOT ON! I DO A LOT OF BAKING AND MY CAKES AND COOKIES HAVE NEVER TURNED OUT SO PERFECT...SO MANY COMPLIMENTS. THE ONLY CHANGE WAS THE RANGE. I TELL EVERYBODY ABOUT THIS RANGE AND HOW GREAT IT IS.

Love it but keeping clean is a headache

I love everything about this stove but keeping it clean. I read reviews and thought that maybe they were over stating the problem. I was in remodel and my old glass cook top still worked and was not a problem to clean so thought how bad could this one be. WRONG....You must clean after each time or you will be sorry. I use the cleaner that is supposed to work but it just half way does it. The stainless control panel and the glass panel with the selections is just as bad. I do love the way it cooks and looks but keeping it clean is no fun...
