Super easy to clean!

I have been using a gas cook top for nearly 20 years and was so tired of cleaning all the parts. When it finally died, I decided I wanted a flat surface electric cook top with nice features and easy to clean. This model is perfect. I love the "keep warm" element. The one thing I have to get use to is how long the surface stays hot after turning off the elements. To prevent any accidents, I usually keep a pan or pan lid over the elements until they are cooled down.

Beautiful Cooktop

We recently moved to a new condo. I like the features of the GE cook top so much that I bought the same one again. I like the size of the burners and the ease of cleaning them.

Cooks quickly, nice clean lines, only drawback is that it doesn't lie flush with counter and food gets underneath lip

Well thought out positioning of burners

Appearance is very sophisticated. Operation by the knobs is much better and easier than with keypad type operation. Materials are very good quality by the feel.

This unit replaces JP660 in 1998. The old unit gave excellent service till my wife dropped a dish on it & broke the glass. You offer nearly every replacement part but the glass top, therefore we were forced to buy a new unit, JP 656. You need to furnish ALL parts. Hope this new unit gives us good service. It was just installed 2 days ago. I'll let you know how it does.

We had to replace our GE Cooktop because the glass top broke & was not available for replacement. The manual furnished does not cover the "features" of Model JP656. GE service support saved the day.
