Will not charge

This was purchased for me as a birthday present. I have owned it for 5 months and it will no longer charge up. I leave it charging overnight, it works for about 30 seconds.
Even when plugged into the mains the shaver will die after roughly 30 seconds.
Extremely disappointed with what started out as the ideal present.

I loved everyhing about it, then the third or fourth time i went to use it, it no longer charged. I am so dissapointed.

Great Trimmer and styler

This trimmer was very useful and innovative. It provided a smooth close trim on face and neck. It was adjustable to a certain hair length and did not pull the hair like some shavers do. It was a little noisy and hard to move the adjustable hair settings. It had a good charge time and was easy to clean. It was flexible and maneuverable. It came with alot of attachments that made the trimming experience more fulfilling and engaging. I liked the product as a whole and would recommend it. Wish the trimming attachments were adjustable and would pop out for an easier trim and style on hard to reach places on face
Pros: charge time was good, cordless, adjustable trimmers, lightweight
Cons: noisy, short cord, hard to adjust trimmer settings

Won't hold a charge after about 6 months

This product worked great when I first purchased it. After about six months, it won't hold a charge. I have left it charging even overnight, and it works for about 30 seconds and dies. They advertise that the trimmer has 50 minutes of cordless use after one hour of charge time...maybe your first few times of using it,that's it!!
Also, the metal guard that I normally use won't stay on the head of the trimmer. I use it to shave my chest/stomach approximately two times a month, so it is not like this product had been extensively used and worn out. That too worked great when I first purchased the product, but quickly deteriorated. I thought Philips was a company with great products, but have been extremely disappointed in this one! I will probably not buy another Philips product again.

Works great if battery didn't have such short half-life

Same as others have stated, I had this for almost a year and then now the battery won't charge anymore. 30 seconds of operation before battery dies repeatedly after ample time charging it.
Pros: worked just perfect with good battery
Cons: battery's short half-life won't recharge

I was looking for a trimmer that was easier to use than the one usually found on electric shavers. This one met all expectations. It does a great job of trimming my sideburns and nose hair. My wife trims my neck hair on the back of my neck with ease. I highly recommend this product.
Pros: very easy to use
