This HT1000 has plenty of BATTERY BACK UP outlets AND SURGE PROTECTION outlets. The unit is very dependable & TrippLite is a great company!

Added the HT1000UPS into my home office after a lightning event caused damage. Was completely satisfied, as I forgot I even had it. Then just after the two-year anniversary, boom. Dead. I had a contractor put this in when fixing the home after lightning strike. Checked, and the warranty has expired. Seems awful quick for an item like this. I will be using another brand as a replacement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased my first Tripp-Lite product from HH Gregg. After about 3 years, the battery would no longer charge. I found out Tripp-Lite had a lifetime guarantee, so I upgraded to the next model. I protect an HD TV, stereo system, DVD player, and satellite receiver. Easy to install, easy to use.

This is a good product for my home sound system

We have great confidence in our unit protecting our system. The big wish is a thumb-sized, lighted "sound off" button, and maybe a bigger on/off button. We have frequent short outages and getting down on hands and knees with a flashlight to locate the buttons is a pain. This actually is our second unit. Sold the first one with a house some time back.

I have had this one for 19 months now and it just keeps my office systems running under all the storms & outages we get, some times a lot. I like my HT1000 with all you can do. I have the item perform watchdog and do self testing. The only thing i do not like is the lack of ability to control each plug individually or see a specific plug load. I wish i could do that. I have 2 desktops systems, a router, monitor all plugged into the UPS side, other items into the surge protection, I have not lost anything due to lighting ever since i got my tripplite 7 years ago. This is my third one.
