I bought this because of the combination of 3D, 1080p, LED, 4HDMI inputs, 55" screen size, and price point.
But, the real story is the gravy that continues to surprise me every day. The remote control and "Smart" features are fantastic extras that I'll be sure to use more and more. The picture is beyond stunning.
One oddity is that I am unable to change over-the-air channels until the TV has cleared an initial "Loading" step. But, I look forward to working through this with updates.

I don't have anything but good things to say about this TV. The picture is amazing, it's easy to setup, and the 3D is amazing.

I had the 55G2 but it had a bad wireless card. LG replaced it and I have been in love with this TV since then.

LG and Google made TV intelligent (not only smart)

The integration of Google OS to a TV make a lot of sense:
Have a Smart guide that shows you the programs based on your cable provider is now at home a requirement for next TVs when we need new ones! This is superb!
Being able to use you Google account and what your owned movies from Play is perfect!
Control it from your android device. Some applications recognize your TV like as Chromecast!
The only thing that sometimes bother me is the start up speed and non responsive remote control after you use it for a long time a opening lots of applications. I guess it needs a better CPU...

Lacking Google tv Apps for mobile Devices
