The interior of this microwave is flaking off from top to bottom.

After 3 years the paint began to flake from the top of microwave on the inside. It has gotten much worse. The unit still works. What can I do with the flaking. Can it be re-painted with regular house paint?

SHows some wear after 5.5 years

I have used mine for 5 1/2 years and have liked it. It still works well but the paint on the ceiling of the oven has completely chipped and peeled and is hanging. I am buying a replacement soon because I don't want the paint pieces to fall in my food.

I bought this in 2009 (it is now Feb 2021) As others have said paint flakes off pretty early in the game (ceiling, door, where the wheels go around), and has for years. Finally one of the little wheels broke on the plastic thing under the platter. Expensive!! to replace. Works great though despite its age.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this microwave in 2011. It is still looking and working just like it did when it was new 13 years ago! So yes, I give this puppy an enthusiastic 5/5!
