I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing. I bought this to match my GE Profile series set. Why sell a beverage fridge that does not cool beverages like a normal refridgerator does? Normal refridgerator temperatures should be 40 degrees or below. This "refridgerator" only cools to 48 degrees. For the price of this product, maybe put a better compressor in it?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The operating temperatures of the beverage center range from the low forties to the mid fifties. This appliance is not a refrigerator and does not maintain temperatures like a refrigerator (below 41 degrees).
As with any refrigeration-type product, there is a slight temperature variance at different locations within the cabinet. The coolest area will be in the lower part of the
cabinet. The cooler area will be in the middle section. The upper part of the cabinet is the warmest section.
When the temperature is adjusted, allow 24 hours for the unit to stabilize.

Looks Nice, Poor Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for a beverage center to hold cans no higher than an average coke or beer can, than this unit may work for you. However, if you ever buy a beer bottle or any other type of beverage or cocktail mixer that is taller, there is no flexibility in shelf adjustment & you have to lay things flat. The shelves are built into the plastic molding so your only option is to remove one shelf & there are only 2. There are also 2 slide out shelves on the bottom to hold wine, or taller beer bottles if you want, but there are only 5 or 6 slots, so not really designed to hold a lot. This unit works fine & looks nice, but I would not recommend based on its lack of flexibility for varying heights.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect for a bar!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two of these for our basement bar and love them. They look great, are quiet and keep drinks and beer cold. I have been only using them for a week but so far so good! I am very happy I did not purchase the monogram for the extra money, the GE Profile works great and looks good!

I bought this because of the functionality to keep both regular drinks and alcohol cold. You can store wine on the bottom racks and other refreshments in the top. Just make sure you positively close the door. Sometimes if you aren't careful you'll close the door thinking it's closed but it needs a little help to make the seal.

Very nice beverage center

We purchased this last week and it worked great for the NBA Finals party we hosted. Only issue was some of the drinks in the back did freeze with the control set in the middle. There was some ice on the back wall as well. I think that was because of the constant opening and closing. Turned in down a bit and by morning things seemed to thawed out. The magnet to keep it closed could be a lot stronger. All and all we are VERY pleased with this purchase.

One of the best beverage centers out there!

This is our third GE beverage center. We have two (one is a wine cooler) at our main house and just bought one for our vacation home. They look great and keep the beverages at the perfect temperature. We have had our first two for eight years and have not had any problems with them.

Catch all for crumbs

The scooped out door handle on the top of the frig tends to catch crumbs from the counter. Its designed with tapered ends makes it very difficult to clean out.
