My first beverage refrigerator is a win!

This beverage cooler really gives my kitchen an updated elegance. Sleek simple design and all the features I was looking for. I've already had a couple of friends comment on the appearance. Love it!

Does the job but...

Overall I’m very pleased with this unit. To me, the major flaw with it is that there is no positive closure or alarm to warn you if it is not completely closed. For instance if you pull something out and let the door swing shut or give it a gentle nudge, it closes but then bounces back open and unless you’re standing there to see it happen, you wouldn’t know that it is not sealed shut.
This was a Homebuilder option and not a direct purchase by me at a retail store or other venue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A lot of money for a fridge that doesn't get colder that 40 degrees. Top shelf 45 degrees.

Don’t waste the extra money on the beverage center. Doesn’t work any better than a wine fridge.

This beverage center does not keep beverages cold. If it was supposed to be for wine only, it should have been called a wine fridge. It will only drop to 43 degrees. Not what I was looking for. The idea was to keep beer, water, etc. out of my regular fridge but it definitely doesn't keep my beer cold enough.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not cold enough!

We purchased this for chilling beer and wine, but people ask for a glass of ice when we serve beer from this fridge. I purchased a thermostat, and it's reading consistently at 50 degrees when on the coldest setting - much to warm for beer! I was going to call a service person but decided to check your website first to see if I was missing anything. That's when I read lots of reviews talking about my same problem. In my humble opinion, while this refrigerator may chill wine, it simply does not get cold enough for other beverages, in particular, beer, which everyone enjoys COLD! I did note this fridge is no longer being manufactured by GE, but I hope in the future GE will do a better job of letting the consumer know this type of fridge is better suited to chilling wine. I am going to replace it with something that gets COLD! I will be much more careful in my selection and will check the specs for the cooling capacity. I will say it's classy looking - but that's about it.

Hi Kim50266 - We're sorry that your beverage center is not keeping beer as cold as you'd like. The operating temperatures range from the low forties to the mid fifties. This beverage center is not a refrigerator and isn't able to maintain temperatures like a refrigerator. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
