A GREAT mouse for both travel & desktop use

What's great about it: After owning the Logitech VX Revolution for 4 months, I can tell you that the mouse's nothing but great. The featured "Micro Gear" technology -- near-frictionless, silent scrolling -- is incredibly efficient. I'd never thought scrolling can actually be FUN and USEFUL. Vertical scrolling is fast yet smooth, it used to be that you can't have both, but now with the VX (or the MX Revolution) you can have both. Now, whenever I'm forced to use another mouse, I immediately missed this Micro Gear feature on my VX. I love it. The mouse's build quality is solid...luxurious even. The design is sleek and ergonomic. The rubberized sides allows you to grip the mouse firmly. The buttons are all programmable and are located all just the right places. The size/ergonomic of the mouse is also good enough to use as a desktop mouse, that is, it isn't as small/badly designed like other "notebook" mouse as you don't feel like using it for long periods of time. Precision-wise, it's more than smooth enough for business/browsing use. Good enough for graphic apps (my profession). But not as precise as those "gaming-grade mouse" (which isn't advertised to be).
What's not so great: A minor one: Battery use. The fresh Duracell battery (as supplied w/ mouse) lasted about 2 months. Much less than advertised (Logitech claimed about 4~6 months?). Using rechargeable (which I prefer, less polluting and saves money!) lasts about 3 weeks. No biggie for me.

A very good mouse

enabling smart move seems to be worthless, it won't save the setting in XP or Vista after a shutdown or restart. Also, the vertical scroll sometimes over accelerates it's settings, but I am still very happy with the mouse overall.
What's great about it: this mouse has a lot of nice features and controls. Surfing the web is a breeze with the side buttons set to forward and back. The zoom button is also a great faeture. I really enjoy using this mouse.
What's not so great: After just upgrading to Windoaws Vista, I now have to authorize the logitech software to run after every boot-up, but it functions well after letting it run.

Over-Priced and Over-Featured

I would not recommend this device to anyone. The middle mouse wheel is nearly useless; it's very difficult to push down the middle mouse wheel as a trigger without unintentionally zooming or scrolling. Three of the other buttons are awkward and the thumb wheel is so poorly placed that it can be activated by accident. What is most infuriating is the inclusion of an advertising popup in the Setpoint software. Finally, there is no documentation or adequate support. A wireless mouse costing half as much, without the software or extra buttons, performed better and did the same tasks.
What's great about it: Ergonomic shape, easy-to-use software
What's not so great: Three out of five buttons.wheels are awkward to use, the middle mouse wheel is too sensitive, the middle mouse button/push-down function requires excessive force and finesse because of the wheels sensitivity. The Setpoint software installs, without asking, an advertising popup which appears at start-up at intervals, exceptionally poor documentation and support.

I thought that this mouse would work on any game that you would play
What's great about it: Cordless mouse is very good and fast and is comfront for your hand.
What's not so great: The mouse does not go left and right when you play a game. I called the support team they told me that their are some games that it does not work.

What's great about it: Quite honestly the best mouse i've ever purchased. Its sleek, compact, and perfect for people that are always on the go. battery life is amazing using only one AA battery. And the response time is as good as wired mouse, no delay here.
What's not so great: Only downside is the fact that its for right handed people, good thing i'm not a south pole.

MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse

Great for office work, or Architectual/Home building, picture crafts etc.... But not for gaming.
What's great about it: I bought the product new for the D420 gamer. Looks are very attractive. The size and shape are fine for my hands, and the installation process was easy. However!
What's not so great: My personal experience has not been enjoyable. The scroll wheel on top is just alittle too sensitive for me. The side scroll is a total inconvenience for gaming. I was constantly hitting it with my thumb, opening a 3D view, right in the middle of agressive negotiations and would lose the encounter every time. The mouse arrow was always sticking. I used the "slick" Dell pad it came with and two other types of pads with the same results. Trying sensativity adjustments didn't help either.

Best mouse I have ever used
on April 24, 2008

I have been so happy with this mouse I bought two. One to keep at home and one to take to work. I really miss it when I have to use anyother mouse.
What's great about it: This is the best mouse I have ever used, when setup using the software provided this will allow you to use so many different short cuts. It can be setup for a lot of different software, ie; word, excell, power point, photoshop and outlook to name a few. The battery lasts forever compared to any other mouse I have used, and it only uses one AA battery at a time plus it keeps monitoring how much life you have left on the battery.
What's not so great: cost more than some, but well worth it

What's great about it: Since this is my first wireless mouse, I don't have anything to compare it with but I really do like the wireless part. It was very easy to install and seems to be working just fine. I bought it on sale from Dell and compared the price with Best Buy and Dell's price was cheaper. I also like the fact that I didn't have to spend gas money driving to the store to buy it.
What's not so great: There are some times when it seems to get bogged down. I really don't know why. I hate to admit it but it is when I am playing solitare and I click and nothing happens at first and I have to click numerous times to get it to work.
