I HAD TO GET THIS CAMERA TO SEE WHAT IT COULD REALLY DO. I WAS CAUGHT OFF GUARD BY HOW LARGE THE SCREEN REALLY IS. THE CHALLENGE IS KEEPING IT CLEAN. PICTURES ARE AMAZINGLY CLEAR. THE ADAPTIVE LIGHTING FEATURE REALLY WORKS AND THE SEVERAL MODE CHOICES AVAILABLE REALLY ADD TO THE FLEXIBILITY THIS CLICK AND SHOOT CAMERA PROVIDES THE NO NONSENSE USER. GREAT JOB HP.

I recieved the R967 for Christmas and I could not be happier with my new camera. I had a Minolta which I thought was good but it broke. My husband suprised me with this one and I thought oh boy this is gonna be hard but I had it under control in just a short time taking pictures and transfering them to my compter and printing away. I am so happy it was so easy to use!!!!!!!!! My mom's Minolta jusst broke also and I told her to check this one out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Camera, One Flaw

This camera is a fantastic camera for anyone interested in taking pictures, amatuers or professionals. There are countless features that you can apply to the picture after you take it, such as Retro, Vintage, and Kaliediscope. There are also many fantastic settings, such as Steady Photo for pictures that you cannot use flash on and you want to get a good, non-blurry photo in regular to low light (such as a Swimming Meet :D). The flaw is that HP cameras tend to break easilty, so that if you don't basically worship it, the camera has a big chance of breaking. I suggest you buy a warranty along with the camera incase of it breaking.

I wish i could return it

I have had this camera for three months now and I still havnt ben able to hold it. I have had to get a desk top tripod to use as a handle for stability while taking a photo. If i could go back and do it again i would have returned it assoon as my husbands back was turned. The gift thought was great but the designe of the camera is not user friendly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

HP R967 Digital Camera

Purchased the R967 to replace an older 3.3mp Olympus. The R967 does not deliver the quality or color of my old camera even with the 10mp. Photos are grainy and very poor color. Sorry but I don't feel it's the camera for me.

Lower Expectations

I researched this camera among others. I have a full Hp computer system. I am very disappointed in the results I get with the Hp Photosmart R967.
I have yet to get a "crystal" clear picture. In low lighting, the preview in the large windw on the back is never "clear" and it is a poor resolution. So are the digital shots taken in low lighting. I have to try to clear up almost every shot..including ones taken in daylight. At 10mp's and 400 speed you'd think the shots would be perfect. The camera gets "hot" if you continually go back and forth between features. The battery is drained too quickly. You must reset your focal settings after each snapshot. I am very disappointed with this camera.

Great on land - but miss underwater housing

I enjoy this camera, but am disappointed HP doesn't offer an underwater housing like other brands do. It has some special features that would enable this camera to take exception photos underwater, better than other brands. Unfortunately HP no longer offers underwater housings for the cameras. Darn shame!
