Photosmart R967 Digital Camera

I've used several different digital cameras and have to rate the R967 as the easiest to learn - excellent menu design.
Photo quality is top notch, I really like the 30x total zoom and large display screen.
So much in a small package!!

Easy with Mixed Results

Some of the pictures come out a little blurred even when using the "Steady Photo" mode. If you can become proficient at F speeds and shutter speeds results are great. I recommend a mini or standard tripod for any landscape or low light photos. Great display and features for editing photos in camera.

Photoshop R967 "Pure Excellence "

The Photosmart R967 compact digital camera is In my honest view the best featured camera on the market today .
Having used the Hp Photosmart R927 while on a trip overseas the only Improvement HP could have made was to increase the capture size , and The Photosmart R967 was available on my return to The UK , I hand no problem in Buying the R 967 and my family received the R 927 . They too think it’s the best unit on the market today
On the plus side is the very user friendly software , the cameras super steel case ,and the viewing screen , ,Photo stitching in Camera ,image stabilisation is super and its easy use .The software is cool too .
The SD cards which the R967 uses are very low in cost and very easy to handle and install , Picture results are amazing and super from printing direct from the camera or downloaded onto you PC .

Would I recommend The Photoshop R967 …. You bet Ya …….. Its Amazing Value 10/10 "Pure Excellence"
Did i Recommend The Photoshop R927 …..Yes.. But the 10mp & Image Stabilisation are a plus in the R967

I've had the photo hobby for over thirty years and I have had several cameras. I saved for a long time to buy this one for action shots. My son races ATV. I have yet to get a shot of him in the air, trying for 6 months. I have tried everything in the manual. Yeah, for 350 dollars you shouldn't have to print out the manual. I agree, no viewfinder, can't see the screen in the sun and yes it gets hot after a few minutes. I got several fatal errors and couldn't even get it to shut off. Right in the middle of a race, sweet! And the battery croaks way too soon. Have to use the dock to transfer to the computer. The software is huge and is extremely SLOW. I have HP everything and this camera is a major disappointment and a waste of money that I could not afford.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Digitial Camera I've Owned!

My very first digital camera is a Photosmart C200 (1 mega pixel). It still takes great pictures today.
I purchased a Nikon Coolpix 5700 (more pixels) which is a very nice camera but very difficult to figure out.
I now own the Photosmart R967 and like it, like it, like it.
It's fast on feature and ease of use have sold me on HP digitals. The pics are great, we've even had one enlarged to 20 X 30 and it was flawless. You won't find a better camera for the price anywhere.

I wanted a digital camera. I am so glad that I went with this one. It is easy to use, and has a wide screen for easy viewing. Everyone that sees the pictures are amazed by how clear they are. I also like how I can zoom in to take a picture and zoom in more after it is taken. I haven't used the video yet, but planning on it. A very good camera for the price.

The HP R967 is a good camera for the beginner and the serious photographer.
It has a hugh amount of features for taking and processing pictures. Often overlooked,
it takes great movies. The large 3" LCD screen, viewable from a wide angle and in direct sun light makes taking pictures & movies a joy. While recommended you use a tri-pod it takes and assembles panaramic photos. It can stitch up to five pictures to give you a pretty panoramic picture.
It has two minor problems - people with large hands will experience some difficulty navigating the "menu button." With time one can over come this problem.
The other problem, their could have been a better way to advise you of the battery state when the battery has 1/3 or less charge. The indicator changes when you turn it off and back on - giving a false sense of charge. If you can get a good on this camera, its worth it. I would also recommend a second spare battery if you really take a lot of pictures.

I LOVE THIS CAMERA! You can do everything with it. Video tape w/o time restrictions, photograph, add voice clips to the photos after it's been taken, edit the photo while it's on the camera screen. The slimming feature is awesome, especially for me (SMILE). The clarity is exceptional. Even the advice that the camera gives you on how to take better photos is very helpful. This is like a hand-held mini photography/videography center all-in-one. You'll Love This Camera!
