I bought this unit refurbished. It was easy to set up. Samsung has plenty of apps available to make your streaming experience varied and interesting. The built in Wi fi allows for easy setup. The unit boots quickly. Disc playback is also fast. I have used this unit with 3D blu-rays and it works perfectly. You can update the software easily and the unit has a nice form factor. I am satisfied with the purchase. I have connected this to a Samsung HL61A 750 and have made this older model projection tv into a smart tv. The auto turn on function works with this model. Great Value for a middle of the line player.
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to program

My amazing Blu-ray player

I never owned a Blu-ray disc player, one reason, I did'nt think it was a big difference from any other disc player. I was wrong, why did it take me this long to purchase one, I wondered. This device is wonderful!! Now I'm hooked! I wish I can watch everything on TV thru my Blu-ray player! Plus, it connects to the internet, and I have the Netflix service, Pandora, YouTube, etc., I've worn a big hole in my couch because I've fallen and I can't get up! GIT IT!! I know that this Samsung brand Blu-ray Player has to be the best you can buy, or near it! Try one out!

New but old performence

Bought it at Christmas 2012 to add a web connection to my small Samsung HD TV. It does well playing DVDs and Blu-rays, but it is a horrible way to connect to the internet. Web browsing is a nightmare (click a letter wait 2-3 seconds, click a letter), the little free content available via 'Samsung Apps' is limited and buffers constantly on the simplest you tube video, Amazon is not even available. How can you have it on TVs older than this player and not offer it on the device than should turn any TV into a 'Smart Hub'. Get a cheap Blu-ray and buy a separate non-Samsung net appliance to stream the web. They all seem to figure out how to stream without the buffering and allow Amazon video!
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor internet playback

No a good product because its too slow

This product is too slow when loading movies that are streamed from the internet. Also, it constantly freezes during the course of the movie while it continues the download process. Would be better if it could download the entire movie at one time so that the playback can be continuous without interruptions. Guess I'll have to upgrade to one with more memory.

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, too slow

The 3D Blu-Ray Player works great with my Samsung Smart TV

It was time for a new TV. So I bought a Samsung Smart TV and also upgraded to a 3D Blu-ray Player. It is fantastic! The 3D aspect can be seen from almost anywhere in my room! Plus all DVDs look great on the smart TV. And to my great surprise, Netflix works wonderfully over my wifi network. The only small issue I have is that the controls on the unit are black and cannot be seen in anything less than sunlight. It has taken me 3 months to get used to hitting the right position on the circle to eject and play my DVDs.
Pros: Inexpensive, plenty of smart options
Cons: design of the controls on the unit.
