I love this product. It loads so much faster than my older blu-ray players. It turns my TV into a smart tv including a browser which is more important to me than all the apps. I will be buying one for my bedroom next.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable

Very good inexpensive 3D Blu-ray player

Since I purchased a new LED 60 Samsung 3D TV I needed to upgrade my DVD player.
I made sense to me to buy this player because it would be easy to control from my TV remote.
Setup was easy. I do not use the apps on the player since my TV has them.
Wireless is solid and have had no problems.
I wish it would be possible to pass all the intro stuff and extra loading when you insert a DVD. There should be a button that you can press and it would start the movie right away or at least get you to the main movie menu. Many DVD will not allow you to press "Top Menu" at the beginning.
Overall a great DVD player.

Bug pprevents Netflix from playing

Unit has worked fine for playing BR discs for last 6 months. We added Netflix recently and there is a bug in the firmware that causes the playback to freeze after a couple of minutes. Samsung support says they are aware of issue and hope to have a fix in a week or two. Meanwhile, back to discs only.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: firmware bugs

Purchased for spare bedroom and to hook up to a non-smart Samsung LED HDTV. Perfect match as this DVD player has all the features you need. To me, it didn't make sense to purchase a smart TV and then buy a DVD player with the same features. So in my case, and for the amount of use this combo was going to see, it was the right combination.
DVD's load quickly and play without any problems.
Small footprint and small remote don't clutter up limited space usually found in spare bedrooms.
Features, price and Samsung quality were key to purchase.
Pros: small size, priced right, wi-fi, smart features, easy to set up
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product is pretty good. The buttons are difficult to use and it is often slow to connect to the Internet.

Nice but not great

The unit is nice but having issues with Netflix timing out at 19 min. Wanted to uninstall and reinstall to get any updates but it will not let you

Improved Blu-Ray player but limited Smart Hub.

This Blu-Ray disc player is a big improvement over my previous Samsung Blu-Ray. Movies load super FAST & navigating the disc is fast. The remote is a major headache. It's too small & poorly designed for use. Buttons are small and crowded. It has a lot of great functions but physical use of this SMALL remote is difficult. None of the keys illuminate except a few that barely glow in the dark. This Samsung Blu-Ray / Smart Hub is on its way back for repair. Hopefully they'll be able to get it working properly.
The Smart Hub is a big disappointment. I bought this primarily because reviews said it is was one of the rare units that allows dowloading & installing new Apps. Unfortunately, a lot of major Apps are missing and tech support told me none of what I want are planned and, in fact, nothing much new is expected to become available, for this model, even though it still sells in stores.
I have 2 Samsung HDTV's & they're great. My first Samsung Blu-Ray had chronic problems & finally the disc drive quit working. My Samsung Home Theater is less than I expected from this company too. I bought it to have all the same brand products connected and it did make operating & using one remote easier. Unfortunately, the sound from 3 cheaper home theaters, from other manufacturers, had superior sound compared to my Samsung. Once again the disc drive quit working not long after the warranty ended.
In summary, their HDTV's are fantastic. The disc players & home theater I have/had leave a lot to be desired.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, fast loading blu-ray player
Cons: Did not meet expectations, limited apps availability, going back for repair
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
